How do I change my water?
See our dedicated Water Care page for full detail. First, turn the chiller completely off. Remove the drain plug at the bottom corner of the tub and drain it thoroughly. While empty, clean the interior with a mild detergent and a soft cloth or sponge to improve hygiene. Screw the drain cap back in place, refill with a hose (any temperature works), then turn the chiller back on and let it cool to your desired temperature.
How often do I need to change my cold plunge water?
Depending heavily on usage, we recommend changing the water every 2 weeks.
How often do I need to change the filter?
A filter cartridge lasts approximately 12 months if regularly cleaned. Clean the filter and the strainer at the chiller inlet once a month. To clean a cartridge, remove it and soak it in a bucket of water mixed with a cleaning agent for about 24 hours, then rinse thoroughly and air dry before reinstalling. We suggest buying cartridges in pairs so you can swap in a spare while one is being cleaned — avoiding downtime.
Does Calore sell replacement filters?
Yes. Please reach out to our team for details on filter replacements.
Do I require chemicals to clean the water?
No. With built-in micron filters and ozone generation plus regular water changes every 2 weeks, chemicals aren't required. To extend water life between changes you can add a sanitizer or bromine, but we still recommend changing the water every 2 weeks depending on use.
How do I winterize my cold plunge in freezing climates?
Ensure the water does not freeze — freeze damage is not covered under warranty. Either run a Heater/Chiller model continuously during freezing conditions, unhook the chiller and piping (leaving plugs in the plumbing holes and storing components indoors), or drain the tub.
