The Vega Compact uses simple built-in controls (an integrated timer and thermostat) and does not display digital error codes. The most common issues are covered below:

| Overheat cut-out | The safety limiter has tripped after exceeding the temperature limit. | Let the heater cool, then press the small reset button on the temperature limiter; check for adequate airflow and that the sensor isn't blocked. |
| Heater on / no heat | The timer is running but the stones stay cold. | Check the circuit breaker, confirm the timer dial is set, and inspect the heating elements — if they don't glow, they may be burnt out. |
| Heats very slowly | Airflow is restricted inside the heater. | Don't pack the stones tightly; re-stack them loosely so air can pass through the elements. |
