Infrared Pro — Safety & EMF Information

Infrared saunas are gentle and comfortable, but a few common-sense precautions keep every session safe.

General safety

  • Stay hydrated — drink water before, during and after.
  • Start with shorter sessions (10–15 minutes) and build up gradually.
  • Don't use the sauna under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Don't touch the infrared heaters or panels during or right after use — they get hot.
  • Supervise children and never leave them unattended in the sauna.
  • If you're pregnant, have a heart condition, low or high blood pressure, or any other medical concern, talk to your doctor before using an infrared sauna.
  • Step out immediately if you feel dizzy, light-headed or unwell.

EMF and the Infrared Pro

EMF (electromagnetic field) is the low-level field produced by electrical devices, including sauna heaters. The Infrared Pro is built with EMF shielding and low-EMF heaters to keep your exposure low while you enjoy full-spectrum infrared. As with any electronic device, sitting a comfortable distance from the heaters further reduces exposure.
